Airline Safety Is All The Rage in Viral Video Ads This Week

Air New Zealand came flying back onto the Chart this week to grab the top spot by producing what might possibly be one of the few airline safety videos people have ever attentively watched, and they watched it close to four million times, setting a new Chart record for the most views in one week. The spot, detailing the bare essentials of airline safety, is the second installment of the airline's "Nothing to Hide" campaign. It was launched at the end of June and began to take off the middle of last week.

Babies getting jiggy with it scored big for French mineral water brand Evian, taking in over 1.8 million views and claiming second place. The "Live Young" campaign features babies rollerskating, moonwalking, and breakdancing to the tune of Rapper's Delight. America's Got Talent, watch out!

Microsoft's Browse Better campaign, with assets featuring projectile vomit and a predilection for unmentionable browsing habits, ironically landed third place this week after both Microsoft and creative agency Bradley and Montgomery removed the original OMGIGP asset, the most-watched of the campaign. However, the controversial OMGIGP asset had already begun to spread online and ultimately helped the campaign clean up over 800,000 views in aggregate. Stay tuned for a more in-depth analysis of this campaign in an upcoming post.
