Brian Shin, Founder and CEO

100Brian Shin is the founder and CEO of Visible Measures, the innovation platform for video. Brian has over 15 years experience helping to start and build innovative early stage technology companies.  He has co-founded several successful Internet startups, including web-based collaboration technology vendor Creative Aspects, which was acquired by Medsite Inc. (now WebMD); and The Cambridge Intelligence Agency, a Web-based e-mail response management solution provider that was acquired by marketing services company MSGi. Brian also co-founded technology strategy consulting firm Infraweb, Inc., where he served as President, and was an early member of the team at Allaire Corp. which went public in 1999 and was subsequently acquired by Macromedia (now Adobe). Brian is active in the startup community as an angel investor and advisor, and was selected as a 2012 Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist for New England.  

Brian enjoys trying new foods with his wife and playing with his two sons, has authored several patents on analytics, occasionally updates Twitter and his blog, holds an undergraduate degree from Tufts University, and earned an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management as part of the dual-degree Harvard-MIT Biomedical Enterprise Program. 

Tawney Bains, VP, Product and Marketing

TawneyBainsBWTawney Bains is Vice President of Product and Marketing at Visible Measures. Tawney comes to Visible Measures with over seven years of digital media experience across non-reserved, reserved and local media platforms. Having started her media career at Advertising.com (acquired by AOL Inc.) leading marketing, product marketing and product sales teams, Tawney has a depth of knowledge about how systems and teams need to work together in order to deliver quality content. Before joining Advertising.com/AOL, Tawney served as a Strategy and Change Management Consultant at IBM. This experience managing change for others has proven useful as she manages her own teams in digital media, a continually evolving industry.

Tawney holds a BA from Duke University and an MBA from the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland.

Seraj Bharwani, Chief Analytics Officer

Seraj Bharwani is the Chief Analytics Officer of Visible Measures and responsible for thought leadership and consumer insights on branded content and shareable media. Seraj Bharwani is the Chief Analytics Officer of Visible Measures. Previously, Seraj served as Senior Vice President and Group Director at Digitas for more than 14 years. He joined the company as part of the founding team that led the company through its early growth phase, the IPO and ultimately the exit via acquisition by the Publicis Group. While at Digitas, Seraj led the Strategic Alliances and Analytics group with the primary role of driving innovative co-marketing relationships and digital marketing for major consumer brands across a wide range of industries in the U.S. and overseas. Prior to Digitas, Seraj was Director of Alliances at MIT Media Lab.

Outside of work, Seraj enjoys swimming and biking with his two children and does pro bono work for non-profit organizations like the Aga Khan Development Network in planning and building primary and secondary schools in Africa, South and Central Asia.  Seraj holds an undergraduate degree in computer science from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, and a masters degree and an MBA from MIT. 

Steven T.A. Carter, SVP, International

100 Steve Carter is the Senior Vice President of International for Visible Measures. Carter joins Visible Measures from Tremor Media, generally recognized as one of the largest online video ad networks, where he was Vice President of Brand Platform. Prior to Tremor Media, Carter served as Senior Vice President, Platform & Product at ad network ScanScout, where he grew annual gross revenues by over 500% over three years. Before ScanScout, Carter was Vice President of Product Development at Specific Media, a media platform company, where he helped grow revenues 1,800% in four years.

Chris Harris, SVP, Engineering

100Chris Harris is Vice President of Engineering for Visible Measures. Harris’ responsibilities include leading the world-class Visible Measures engineering team and expanding the patented Visible Measures platform to meet the company’s growing business needs. 

Prior to joining Visible Measures, Harris was Director of Engineering – Video Platform Team at Yahoo! and was responsible for developing the video player experience across all Yahoo! properties as well as building and maintaining video management tools. Before Yahoo!, Harris was Director of Engineering at Maven Networks, an online video platform provider, where he was responsible for developing all aspects of the company’s video platform. Maven Networks was acquired by Yahoo! in 2008.

Chris has a a BS and MS in computer engineering from Northeastern University. Chris rides his bicycle to work every day and really enjoys a good chocolate dessert.

Paul Krasinski, SVP, Publisher Solutions

100Paul Krasinski is Senior Vice President of Publisher Solutions at Visible Measures. Paul comes to Visible Measures as a thought leader in digital audience measurement. Prior to Visible Measures, he served as CEO of Umbel, Senior Vice President of Digital Media and Analytics at Arbitron (acquired by Nielsen) and Chief Operating Officer at Ando Media (acquired by Triton Media Group). In these positions, Paul developed the deep understanding, insight and industry relationships required to revolutionize digital audience measurement. Paul was previously Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Westwood One and Corporate Director of the Digital Media & Interactive Division at Greater Media. Early in his career, Paul worked with venture capital and early stage startups in the evaluation and execution of their strategic growth and development opportunities. 

Paul holds an MBA from Columbia Business School and an AB Honors degree from Brown University in Organizational Behavior and Management. He lives in Milton, MA with his wife and two sons.

Lynne Lipinsky, SVP, Finance

Lynne Lipinsky is Senior Vice President of Finance for Visible Measures. Prior to joining Visible Measures, Lipinsky served as Vice President of Finance of ScanScout, which was acquired by Tremor Media in 2010, and led the vision and growth of its financial operations. Before ScanScout, Lipinsky served as the Corporate General Manager & Director of Finance at ILOG, formerly Logic Tools, where she helped lead the financial strategy for the business pre and post-acquisition. Before ILOG, she served as Senior Manager of Mergers and Acquisition at Macromedia, formerly Allaire, developing and implementing processes that contributed to its growth.

Chris Meisl, Chief Technology Officer

100Chris Meisl is Chief Technology Officer at Visible Measures. Chris comes to Visible Measures with over 20 years experience developing and leading innovative technology projects in such fields as search, semantic analysis, RFID, and mobile. Additionally, early in his career, Chris worked at The NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory, literally as a rocket scientist.

Among Chris' diverse interests are computational linguistics, cryptography, and skiing.  He earned his bachelors degree in applied physics from the California Institute of Technology.

Marc Schraer, SVP, Sales & Account Management

Marc Schraer is Senior Vice President of Sales and Account Management for Visible Measures. Prior to joining Visible Measures, Marc was the Team Manager for sales and account management at DoubleClick and was responsible for global relationship development and revenue growth with major advertising holding companies. During his tenure, Schraer led target setting, sales pipeline maintenance, and overall client satisfaction efforts that grew revenue by over 200% to $50MM. Before Google and DoubleClick, Marc had increasing levels of Sales responsibility at other technology firms and gained extensive Media Planning experience at DraftFCB and Bozell Worldwide.

Ron Taché, SVP, Operations

100Ron Taché is Senior Vice President of Operations for Visible Measures. Ron brings strategy and implementation expertise to Visible Measures in the areas of account management, customer service, support and finance gleaned from domestic and international work with organizations including BASF, Bell Canada, Cablevision, ExxonMobil, HSN, Samsung and Nabisco. Prior to joining Visible Measures, Ron served as chief operating officer at GoldPocket Interactive where he oversaw the company's operations, including production, customer service and account management until its acquisition by Tandberg Television. Ron continued with the company post-acquisition serving as vice president of operations at Tandberg.

Ron holds a Master of Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from Brown University.
