The Visible Measures Blog
MITX, the Massachussettes Innovation and Technology Exchange, is hosting the 2011 MITX Innovation Awards tonight. We're excited because Visible Measures has been selected as a finalist in the category for Best Ad Decision Making Tool. The technology under consideration comes from our new choice-based video ad network, Viewable Media. Viewable Media enables consumers to choose to watch video advertising, creating the highest impact views available in video.
Last night, we were honored and humbled to win the 2008 MITX (Massachusetts Innovation and Technology Exchange) Award
as the winner in the category of Analytics & Business Intelligence. Our category was full of talented and innovative companies and though it may sound cliché, we were seriously just excited to be a finalist. MITX is a great organization dedicated to promoting innovation in Massachusetts and we are very proud of what they have been doing.
This award is dedicated to (and completely because of) the entire team at Visible Measures. It is because of the hard work, passionate drive, and sincere dedication of our team members that we have anything at all even resembling a business :) As the award ceremony's keynote speaker Dr. Amar G. Bose
Founder of Bose Corporation, aptly said last night (and I'm paraphrasing), “We should strive to build something better than what was possible before.” It is this kind of sentiment that motivates us as we continue to try our best to innovate for our customers and for the industry.
We had a great time at the MITX Video Series
last night. Will Richmond
, President and Founder of Broadband Directions
, led the charge by moderating the event. Along with Murali Aravamudan
, founder and CEO of Veveo
, Michael Kolowich
, President and Executive Producer of DigiNovations
, Bob Lentz
, CEO of Permission TV
, and Tom Wilde,
CEO of Everyzing
, we took a pair of binoculars to the emerging online video landscape to provide, hopefully, some clarity on what some of the better practices for online video are for the advertisers and publishers of the world. We were truly impressed by what our fellow panelists had to offer and look forward to what they’ll do next. We were happy to be among the mix and hope to keep sharing our insights with our friends in the online video community. Good times!
