With much anticipation and fanfare, the 2011 Academy Awards nominees were announced on Tuesday. And, as with last year, we have ten best picture nominees. The King's Speech leads the prestigious group in nominations, grabbing twelve, trailed by the Coen's brothers' True Grit with ten. The Social Network and Inception followed with eight nods each. The drama starring Gwyneth Paltrow experienced a 113% gain in views following its theatrical release for a total of 1.1 million. Doubling its view count from the week previous, Green Hornet moves up from seventh place to claim first in this week's Online Film Trailer Chart. The film starring Seth Rogan generated 678,000 views. The campaign's growth was largely driven by a new trailer uploaded by the film's studio, Columbia which appears to have put advertising dollars behind the asset as indicated by the YouTube stats and data details.

Even for those of us, like me, who don't follow the sport, the video makes its point with one car getting in front of another as the speedier driver shakes his head saying, "I knew it! Sunday driver," only to be cut off by a third car, a woman in a Mercedes SUV shaking her own head saying, "I knew it, senior citizen." For those who do follow Formula One rivalries, the "senior citizen" is Mika Hakkinen and the "Sunday driver" driver is Michael Schumacher -- two racing legends who famously battled each other in the 1990s.
