Cain Ad Smokin' Hot Online

Nearly every political campaign season has an ad that stands out against the field. In 2010, it was Scott Brown's truck. In 2008, it was Hillary Clinton's 3:00 AM call. For 2012, so far at least, it's Herman Cain's Now Is the Time for Action, also known as his smoking ad.

The ad campaign has generated over 2.1 million views to date. We've identified over 100 clips related for the campaign. Of those, over 20 are spoofs, accounting for more than 200,000 views. There are over 10 copies of the original, which are responsible for 400,000 views. The original clip has 1.3 million views.

Republican Primary Ads 1

By reaching 2.1 million views, Now Is the Time for Action is the most-watched campaign of the republican primaries to date. It just barely tops Rick Perry's Proven Leadership campaign, which has just under 2.1 million views. Ron Paul's Campaign Conviction is the third most-watched ad of the group at 725,000 views. At 410,000 views, Mitt Romney's top ad, Bump in the Road, doesn't make the top five.

These ads are measured on a True Reach™ basis, including the original ads, copies of the original ads, mixes, mashups, spoofs, and more across the Web.
