Wrath of the Titans Soars at Release in Social Video
Set to release nationwide this weekend, Wrath of the Titans jumps to third place on the Top 10 Online Film Trailers Chart with 3.1 million views. The sequel to 2010’s Clash of the Titans, the film stars A-listers Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, and Ralph Fiennes. Wrath of the Titans is slightly underperforming in social video compared to Clash of the Titans. At its week of release, Clash of the Titans garnered 4.9 million views, nearly 2 million more views than Wrath of the Titans. Clash of the Titans went on to gross $61.2 million its opening weekend. We'll have to wait to see how much Wrath of the Titans rakes in this weekend.
Opening with Wrath of the Titans is Mirror Mirror, which comes in at eighth place with 960,000+ views. The film is a spin on the classic Snow White tale, with Julia Roberts as the evil queen. Mirror Mirror has over 400 assets across the Web, including at least six trailers, several clips, featurettes and TV spots.
