The Right Strikes Back in Social Video

After Obama’s dominance on the WSJ Presidential Ads Chart last week, Romney and the right strike back this week in social video, with six campaigns on the chart coming from Romney and conservative super PACs.

American Energy Alliance’s Nine Dollar Gas grabs the top spot on this week’s chart, driving over 1.6 million views. The campaign received a big push of paid media last week, helping push the campaign to the top of the list. Nine Dollar Gas attacks President Obama’s energy record and blames the President for high price at the pump. American Energy Alliance is the Institute for Energy Research’s advocacy arm.

The liberal super PAC Priorities USA has a new campaign this week that hits Romney on his wealth and time at Bain Capital. Romney's World View had over 350,000 views, snatching the number two spot.

American Future Fund launched a campaign for tax day, called, appropriately enough, Tax Day. Tax Day floats across a few issues like Solyndra and overseas jobs and then come down hard on Obama for the General Services Administration's Las Vegas conference that ran upwards of $800,000. The campaign drove over 107,000 views last week.

Romney has two campaigns that enter the ranks this week. Happy Birthday, Mom follows the romance of the Romneys, showing the softer side of Mitt. It lands eighth place with 50,000 views. The second Romney campaign attacks Obama on the economy. President Obama's Measure of Progress snags ninth place, garnering 49,000 views.
