Lady Gaga Reaches New Heights on Viral Chart

  
  
  

On this week's Ad Age Viral Video Chart, Lady Gaga makes a splash with her first solo-branded video ad campaign for her new "black" fragrance, Fame. The campaign lands in ninth place with just under 1 million views. The racy 34-second video produced by Ridley Scott and directed by photographer Steven Klein stars the pop star in latex ensembles and ensembles made of little, tiny S&M men located in strategic places on her nude body.

Fame has already inspired more than 20 copies and derivatives since releasing last week. Of course, Gaga is not new to the social video scene - in the Google Chrome The Web Is What You Make Of It campaign, the video featuring Lady Gaga was the most-viewed, raking in 10.3 million views to date. We'll have to see if her new campaign can top the Google spot.

Additionally, we see a high-wire act from Volvo, which grabs them the number three spot on the chart, nabbing 1.5 million views. The Ballerina Stunt is more than three minutes of subtle marketing through suspense, an incredible slackliner stunt, and two Volvo trucks. We've unearthed at least five copies and derivatives since debuting late last week.
