Introducing the Vizzies
We're happy to introduce the Vizzie Awards, where we recognize the top new campaigns launched each month. Vizzies go to the most-watched new campaign each month and the campaign with the most social views (views driven by clips launched by audiences and third parties). Each monthly Vizzie includes a breakdown of top-performing content to provide a look at the biggest trends in online video advertising.
September's Vizzies go to the same campaign: Weight Watchers' Jessica Simpson for Weight Watchers. Launched September 7, the campaign generated 14.1 million total views by the close of the month, beating out Apple's new video campaign for the iPhone 5. Jessica Simpson for Weight Watchers is also the campaign with the most social views, with over 13.7 million views for the campaign coming from third party clips.
In overall trends, September's campaigns totaled 109.5 million views, more than double the views of new campaigns in both September 2011 and 2010. Campaign debuts with over 1 million views also doubled compared to September 2011.
