Tomorrow, families across the US will celebrate Thanksgiving, a day full of giving thanks, feasting, and preparing the game plan for the biggest retail day of the year. To celebrate the day, we thought we thought we'd compile the Top 10 Thanksgiving videos out there on the web.
As always, the list is ranked by our True Reach methodology, which means that we also take a look at copies, mashups, and spoofs of the orginal clip. At the top of the list is a two-year old clip from the viral video creators Epic Meal Time, where they create a meaty masterpiece with a hefty load of bacon, turkey, duck, a suckling pig, and more. The classic has generated more than 15.5 million views to date. Epic Meal Time also has another clip on the Top 10 from 2011, which sits at sixth place with 4.9 million views.
Newcomer Nicole Westerbrook's viral hit It's Thanksgiving comes in at 11.6 million views. The original clip has over 10 million, but the copies, responses, and mashups of the music video make up the rest of the views. If you've seen the music video, which was released just a couple weeks ago, you know that it begs comparison to last year's viral phenomenon, Rebecca Black's Friday -- both have a catchy tune, simple lyrics, and a young, bubbly teenage girl. (For the record, Westbrook has a long way to go -- Friday now has 464 million True Reach views.)
Also on the chart is Fred, with his high-pitched ramblings on Thanksgiving, which comes in third and has grabbed 9.8 million views since first being uploaded back in 2008. Elsewhere we also see a tutorial on how to blow a turkey call, an animated turkey dance, and a clip from the popular Friends episode with Brad Pitt.
